So tyranids can deep strike now with a weird and alien drop pod? Awesome! But what to do for the models? There is an old armorcast tyranid drop pod, but finding those would cost an arm and a leg! As pointed out on Dakka, instead you may want to check ebay for Mega blocks plasma hatchers! They look like this:
They are the perfect size and a great base to work up from. Granted you could just paint them up as is, but I bet with a little conversion work these would be top notch! Here is another picture for reference and scale!
