I primed all these pieces black. From there I used my cheap Hobby-Lobby paints to base coat the tank and pipe with a silver and black mix. I then went over the silver with a bronze/black/silver mix. I fell this gave the tank a nice used/rusted look without too much effort.
For the base I simply dry brushed the ballast with my lighter color of paint.
Once everything had dried I sealed it with a matte varnish and it is now table ready.
